Thanks to FiveTen and Arc’Teryx, I am fortunate enough to use some of the most advanced technology in climbing today. Check out what I like to use and then go see for yourself!

S·240
Impossibly thin, supple and lightweight, our high performance S·240 takes sport climbing to a new level. WST™ provides universal support to the waist belt, and our lightweight mesh leg loops deliver unprecedented breathability and support. Made with a unidirectional mesh that provides bridging support in one direction and complete flexibility in the other, these simple leg loops are equally as comfortable as those conventionally built, proving the limited effectiveness of foam padding.

C40
This chalk bag is perfect for quick hits on routes or boulder problems where chalking up is just barely possible. I have never used a chalk bag with such easy in-and-out accessibility. Made with Schoeller® softshell fabric, these chalkbags are supple and tough, not to mention available in two sizes to fit every hand-dimension and personal chalk consumption needs.

Veloc Comp Crew
Whoever designed this shirt had crushing in mind. Made with Libro fabric to maximize airflow and breathability, it combines lightweight Vivital™ on the shoulders and side panels for moisture wicking superiority. Plus, it makes you looked ripped because it’s so light.

Agent Comp Pant
Sport climbing in November, bouldering in the Spring, or competing amidst the masses, these pants work in all types of situations. Double layers of burly and quick-drying Ottoman fabric on the seat and knees add durability, while a stretch panel across the back and thighs increase hip mobility. Basically, they feel like they’re not even there. Yikes!

NAOS 45
This pack is ridiculous. You could chuck it into the middle of the Atlantic during a full-on thunder storm and pick it back up completely dry. Equipped with radially formed shoulder straps and hipbelt, in conjunction with the Spacermesh cushioned Monoframe and rotating Load Transfer Disc, this puppy is one of the most comfortable carrying systems around, not to mention absolutely bomb-proof in terms of durability. I love beating on it—especially in the rain!

Alpha SV Bib
For frigid alpine expeditions and absolute weather protection, these high-rising bibs have GORE-TEX® Pro Shell fabric from the waist down, and a tall Schoeller® Dynamic GNS stretch-woven bib for breathable warmth and mobility.

Dragon
With its radically down-turned toe, the Dragon is the darling of steep-climbing troglodytes everywhere. Replacing hook-and-loop closure with laces secures the foot for maximum power through the toe and in heel-hooking. Perforated rand rubber gives the Dragon a sock like fit. Stealth HF rubber on the outsole is the perfect combination of power and friction for steep climbing.

Jet7
Fred Nicole apparently called this the highest-performance shoe ever made. I’m not Fred Nicole, but I would agree that it is one of the most bad-ass shoes out there. The Jet 7, a new sport climbing and bouldering shoe, has a down-turned toe, a durable lightweight upper, and super-sticky Stealth® HF™ soles. Jet 7′s “Green” Rubber (which is really black) is a proprietary recycled rubber for toe hooking. The lined, synthetic slipper has minimum stretch, and features an elastic, dual-flap closure with a single Velcro® Brand strap for adjustability and power.

Anasazi Verde
The world’s best precision climbing shoe has gotten even better. At Five Ten, we’ve built our reputation on advanced technology. It is hard to imagine that the Anasazi Verde could climb any better, but by adding our state-of-the-art heel, nicknamed “magic fingers” for its phenomenal gripping qualities, we’ve improved both fit and comfort. Any potential dead space is gone, and both precision and power are increased.

Moccasym
These shoes make the perfect companion for destroying yourself at the local gym. You’ll feel like your slipping on a pair of your most comfy socks, except these socks are way stickier. Equipped with super-sensitive Stealth C4, they allow you to pull in incut holds and edges in the same way that you pull in holds with your fingers. As equally important, these shoes hold up to outdoor sessions–best on longer, more endurance oriented climbs–in the same way that they hold up to training on plastic. Best in comfort and quick-on-and-off ability.
